Shoreham-Wading River and Miller Place Lacrosse teams, Coaches and Families dined at AppleBees in Miller Place where 10% of all checks were donated back to the 'Lax Out Cancer' fundraiser. Suffolk County Legislator, Sarah Anker presented certificates of recognition to both SWR and Miller Place teams and their volunteers. The Lax Out Cancer event will be held on April 11, 2015 at Shoreham-Wading River High School. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise money to help 4 local recipients battle cancer. One of the recipients, Zachary Cote attended with his Mother, Renee and Father Glen and was all smiles. One can donate to this cause online. All proceeds from donations and journal ads will be given directly to the recipients.
